Pickle Paradise

Grillo’s hosted a Pickle Paradise pop-up shop in NYC, featuring limited-edition products and exclusive merchandise. While the in-person experience was impressive, it was limited to local visitors. To expand engagement nationwide, Kym developed a digital campaign that included a landing page aligned with the pop-up schedule, featuring a sweepstakes for exclusive items, recipes, pre-orders for exclusive merchandise and Grillo’s new cookbook, and live Instagram updates. Sweepstakes entries also joined Grillo’s email list, fostering long-term engagement.

To drive traffic, we promoted the digital experience via email and social media. Additionally, in-store QR codes directed visitors to a second landing page with a sweepstakes for a year’s supply of pickles, capturing data from attendees. Through these initiatives, Grillo’s expanded its reach, boosted engagement, and collected valuable insights for future strategies.

Kym recently led the redesign of Grillo’s website and transitioned their email marketing to a more robust CRM that integrates with their Shopify merch store for enhanced analytics and personalization.

Quit Landscaping. Start Farmscaping.

Farmscape is California’s largest food-focused, sustainable landscaping company. With the goal of attracting more quality clients and increasing brand awareness, Kym collaborated with Farmscape to develop its first comprehensive marketing strategy, which we revisit regularly to align with evolving priorities.

Initially interested in creating a new website to showcase their quality and “design-installation-maintenance” service model, we identified a deeper need to define their brand. Through a thorough branding exercise, we established a clear identity and positioning for Farmscape’s three different audiences: residential homeowners, multi-family developments, and commercial facilities. This foundation proved invaluable when creating content for their new website, streamlining both the copywriting and design processes, and we continue to reference it regularly to ensure all communications are aligned with the brand.

With the brand defined and a new website launched, we shifted focus to growth, using targeted digital ads and public relations to drive awareness and lead generation. Content marketing also became a priority to reinforce Farmscape’s expertise. Given the team’s busy schedules, we assist with content generation and repurpose long-form content like project pages and SEO-driven blogs into shorter pieces for social media and newsletters. These efforts continue to expand Farmscape’s brand presence, attract new quality leads, and establish a strong foundation for future growth.

It’s 5 A.M. Somewhere

Cuvée Coffee has been roasting exceptional, ethically sourced, sustainable coffee in Austin, TX, since 1998. Kym began working with Cuvée just as they were expanding their production and distribution, leading their marketing efforts and helping them navigate a brand refresh that included updated positioning, messaging, and visuals, along with new packaging for both their roasted coffee and nitro cold brew.

With the new branding established, she oversaw the design and development of a new website optimized for online sales and transitioned their email marketing to Klaviyo for advanced personalization, deeper analytics, and more targeted automations. Once the new branding and packaging were ready, we partnered with YETI to create an exciting launch event in downtown Austin, featuring live music, cold brews, and giveaways—drawing crowds comparable to those of SXSW, with a line that wrapped around the store to get in. It was the perfect event to celebrate Cuvée and its hometown of Austin, TX.

Post-launch, Kym continued to work with Cuvée on their marketing as they expanded into new markets and retailers, including product launches, social media, sales materials, public relations, and brand activations & partnerships.

A location based app and community for dog lovers

BarkHappy creates local communities that encourage dog owners to explore more with their pets and connect with new people. Focusing on increasing awareness and driving app adoption, Kym developed a strategy to build their user base through targeted community engagement.

Starting in Austin, we concentrated on creating meetup events that fostered relationships among dog owners while partnering with local businesses and nonprofits to strengthen community ties. This grassroots approach led to larger events, such as bar crawls, photoshoots, movie nights, and ice cream socials, which served as fundraisers for our charity partners. These events not only drove user engagement but also contributed to local causes, reinforcing BarkHappy’s commitment to community involvement.

When the app rolled out nationwide, Kym created a model for replicating her success in Austin across other key markets, successfully onboarding brand ambassador teams in over 40 cities. She guided these teams through the process of hosting their own meetups and events, ensuring consistency in quality and execution, which ultimately drove user growth and revenue nationwide.

Fostering community through cycling events

Holland Racing & Special Events produced a variety of events to promote cycling and foster a vibrant cycling community throughout Texas. From competitive criterium racing at the Driveway Series—recognized as the best race series in the U.S. by USA Cycling—to the family-friendly Bike Night at Circuit of the Americas, our strategy focused on creating a fun, friendly atmosphere that made the sport of cycling more approachable and inclusive.

Many events were designed to support local nonprofits and businesses, such as Real Ale Brewing Company and Friends of Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park, aiming to increase awareness and community engagement. Kym worked closely with each organization to ensure they were well represented and supported throughout all stages of planning, promotion, and execution. Additionally, she managed partnerships with brands like Clif Bar and Nuun Hydration to further enhance participation and create a richer experience for attendees.

Texas-Sized Pittie Pride Goes To Prom!

Love-A-Bull, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting responsible guardianship and improving the image and lives of pit bull-type dogs. To combat the negative perception of these animals, Kym proposed the idea of a Pittie Prom for the 2014 event and collaborated with a design agency to develop a fun, approachable theme that would resonate with the community.

We kicked off the event with a social media campaign encouraging supporters to submit photos of their dogs and vote for the King and Queen of the Pittie Prom. This interactive campaign not only built excitement but also engaged the community in a meaningful way. The winners led the annual parade up Congress Ave in pedicabs, accompanied by hundreds of supporters and their dogs, many dressed in prom costumes.

The parade culminated at Republic Square Park, where we organized a festival featuring local vendors, activities, and a celebrity guest to help amplify Love-A-Bull's message. Through strategic planning and community collaboration, Kym was able to enhance the visibility of Love-A-Bull’s mission while fostering a positive and inclusive environment for dog lovers and their pets.
